Joel von Trapp-VT Design Build

Joel von Trapp grew up in America in the small town of Waitsfield, Vermont. During the summer of 2002, while doing some volunteer work in Croatia, he met his Greek wife. In 2004 he left the states and moved to Greece. After moving to the small city of Volos , Greece in 2005, he was fascinated by all the stone buildings found in the surrounding villages of Pelio. Having always had a certain passion and fascination for stone, he decided to learn the trade of a mason. After working several years with Greek and Albanian master masons and taking up marble carving as a hobby he decided it was time to delve into design and study Architecture. The combination of an educational and theoretical foundation backed by years of practical work experience has given him a comprehensive skill set for both design and construction. With extensive knowledge of the area and the Greek language, connections with many local craftsmen, and a strong desire to produce unique and quality constructions, VT Design Build is committed to working with their clients to create individually tailored, meaningful and quality constructions.
